Minnesota Twins Baseball
Regular Season: April – September
The Minnesota Twins baseball team has brought major league baseball action to the Twin Cities area for almost half a century. Formerly known as the Washington Senators, the Minnesota Twins sports club was renamed in honor of its move to Minneapolis in 1961.
In the years since, the Minnesota Twins baseball team has experienced mixed results on the baseball field. Post season play for the Twins has included three trips to the World Series, with only one win in 1987. Although the Minnesota Twins faltered during much of the 1990s, they showed promise in the early 2000s. In 2002, the Minnesota Twins team made its first trip to the American League Championship Series since 1991 but failed to clinch the pennant.
The Minnesota Twins were originally based at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis, but moved to Target Field in 2010.
At Target Field, the Minnesota Twins baseball club plays from April to September. Find a Minnesota Twins schedule Find Bloomington Hotels.
