Sheraton Bloomington Hotel
Tucked away from the bustle of Mall of America®, Sheraton offers a true getaway near the Twin Cities. Enjoy a great stay in a well-appointed room, complimentary Starbucks® coffee, and more.
The girlfriend getaway itinerary gives you and your friends the opportunity to spend quality time relaxing, being pampered and, of course, participating in a lot of retail therapy.
Day One: After checking into one of the 45 hotels in Bloomington, freshen up quickly and get ready to shop ‘til you drop at Mall of America! Whether you’re switching up your look or trying on the latest trends, there are stores to suit all styles at the nation’s largest shopping mall. Anchored by Macy’s and Nordstrom, the Mall features more than 520 stores and 50 restaurants and, like everywhere in Minnesota, won’t charge you sales tax on clothing and shoes. Explore the upscale shops on South Avenue, which houses brands like Coach, Burberry, and Michael Kors. Also, don’t forget new stores to MOA, as it is lovingly called by locals, like L.L. Bean, Fabletics, and Lovisa. Aside from clothing, shoes and accessories, the Mall’s four levels are also filled with beauty products, toys, electronics, home decor, gifts and more.
Evening: Enjoy dinner at CRAVE. The unique menu features tastes of the new American palate and fresh and innovative cuisine with Mediterranean and Asian influences. Save room for one of the incredible desserts on the menu.
Day Two: Begin your second day with a farm-to-table breakfast experience at FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar. Energize for the day with a hearty classic or a light and healthy breakfast. Head back to Mall of America for some additional shopping and entertainment. Then head to Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy or one of the many other hotspots on the Mall’s fourth level for a late lunch or early happy hour.
Evening: Enjoy an evening of sheer entertainment at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. Nestled in an inviting complex in the nearby town of Chanhassen, the dinner theater that shares its name is consistently accomplished and has the highest production standards in the nation. Each season at “the Chan”, as locals call it, might include high-energy takes on Broadway musicals such as Hello, Dolly and Mary Poppins.
Day Three: Plan a half-day trip to the Saint Croix Vineyards in Stillwater to see Minnesota’s largest and best known winery. Try their wines, take a picturesque stroll through the vineyards and enjoy a delicious lunch by the pond on their grounds. Public and private tours of the grounds are available. Don’t forget to take home a case of “souvenirs” from your trip!
Evening: Mystic Lake Casino, one of the largest Midwest casinos, is the designated wrap up party place for your three day extravaganza. Prepare to dine on a magnificent selection of food at The Buffet in Mystic Lake. Tempt your taste buds with your favorite dishes from around the world. Try your luck and win back some of the money spent on shopping on one of 4,000 slot machines, or take it a little easier by sitting down with a Bingo card. Check out the entertainment calendar at Mystic Lake to see what superstar is performing during your trip.
